About Us

Peter Strachan

Peter Strachan is a widely experienced career journalist and editor with an extensive background in daily, regional and community level news services, including News Corporation, Fairfax Community and Australian Associated Press. He is a corporate communications and public relations practitioner and author of Australian Newsroom Journalism, developed to assist undergraduate journalists make the transition from tertiary lecture theatre to frontline newsroom reporting 

Julieanne Strachan

Julieanne Strachan has had more than 25 years’ experience as a journalist on newspapers in Victoria, NSW and the ACT. She worked in the NSW Parliament Press Gallery as political reporter for the Newcastle Herald before moving to Canberra to join The Canberra Times, where her appointments included arts editor and senior reporter on the Sunday Canberra Times. Julieanne has also worked extensively in public relations as a senior consultant.
